Mastering the Engage Video Gallery on Symba 🎥

The Video Gallery is a dynamic space where you can share video content that educates, entertains, and engages your users throughout their program.

Adding Categories 📂

Steps to Add New Categories:

  1. Initiate: Click the "Add Category" button at the top of the Video Gallery page.

  2. Organize: Name your categories to reflect the types of videos they will contain. It's best to set up all your categories before uploading videos.

Visibility: All videos and categories are accessible to all users, regardless of their permissions.

Adding Videos 📹

Steps to Upload Videos:

  1. Select Category: Navigate to the desired category and click “Add New Video” at the top right.

  2. Video Details:

    • Title: Provide a concise title visible to users.

    • Upload Options: Choose to upload a video file directly or add a link. Remember, larger files take longer to upload.

    • Description: Write a detailed description of the video content.

  3. Save: Don’t forget to click "Save" at the top right once completed.

Engagement: Users can watch videos by clicking on the title in the Video Gallery and can interact further by adding comments.

Editing Videos ✏️

Steps to Edit Videos:

  1. Access Videos: Click on the category and then “Edit” at the top right.

  2. Make Changes: Use the pencil icon next to the video title to edit the title, description, or the video link/file.

  3. Submit Changes: Click “Submit” to save updates.

Deleting Videos and Categories 🗑️

Deleting Individual Videos:

  1. Navigate: Go to the category, click “Edit,” and find the video.

  2. Remove: Click the trash can icon next to the video title and confirm the deletion in the pop-up.

Deleting Categories:

  1. Category Options: Click on the category and select “Delete Category” at the top right.

  2. Video Handling: If the category has videos, choose to move them to another category or delete everything by selecting “Delete Category All Data.”

  3. Confirm Deletion: A pop-up will ask for confirmation before permanently deleting the category.

  • Descriptive Titles: Use clear and appealing titles for your videos to attract more viewers.

  • Regular Updates: Keep your Video Gallery fresh by regularly adding new content and pruning outdated videos.

  • Feedback Loop: Encourage user feedback on videos to gauge engagement and improve future content.
