How to Manage Your Password on Symba đ
Resetting your password is a critical step to ensure your account's security, especially when logging in for the first time or if you suspect your account security has been compromised. Follow these steps to reset your password or recover access if you're having trouble logging in.
Resetting Your Password for the First Time
Access Settings:
Click the dropdown menu at the top right corner of your account.
Select "Settings" to navigate to your account settings.
Update Your Password:
Enter your old password in the provided field.
Choose a new password and enter it in the designated space.
Click "Submit" to update your password.
Pro Tip đĄ: Use a mix of letters, numbers and symbols for a strong password. Avoid common words or predictable phrases. Use a different password for Symba than for other sites.
Why Reset Your Password?
Security: Regularly updating your password helps protect your account from unauthorized access.
First-Time Login: It's a good practice to change your password when logging in for the first time to secure your account.
Access Recovery: Resetting your password is necessary if you forget it or cannot access your account for any reason.
Note: Symba will automatically require a password reset if your password has not been changed within the past 6 months. You'll be prompted to change the password upon login.
Logging In with Single Sign-On (SSO)
If your organization uses SSO for secure and streamlined access:
Select SSO Option:
On the login page, choose the option to log in via SSO (this may be labeled differently depending on your organization).
Use Your Organizational Credentials:
Enter your usual work credentials as you would to access other internal systems.
Follow any prompts to complete the login process.
No Password Reset Needed:
Typically, SSO-managed accounts do not require a separate password on Symba, as your organization controls these credentials.
Recovering Your Password
If you forget your password or cannot log in:
Go to Login Page:
Click on the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen.
Enter Your Email:
Type the email address associated with your Symba account.
Press "Submit" to initiate the password recovery process.
Check Your Inbox:
Look for an email from Symba with the temporary password.
Donât forget to check your spam folder if you donât see the email in your inbox.
Go back to https://app.symba.io/ and login with your email and temporary password provided in the email.
Once logged in you will need to reset your temporary password, so follow the instructions to reset your password above.
