How to manage and edit your Symba profile

Creating a complete and engaging profile on Symba is a key step in fostering meaningful connections and increasing engagement across the platform. Follow these simple steps to make your profile shine!

Accessing Your Profile

  1. Open Your Profile:

    • Click the dropdown menu at the top right of your account.

    • Select "View Profile" to see your profile details.

Editing Your Profile

  1. Begin Editing:

    • Hit "Edit" at the top right of your profile page to make changes.

  2. Update Your Profile Photo:

    • Click the pencil icon next to your current photo.

    • Upload a new photo and press "Submit". 📸

Filling Out Profile Information

  1. Add Basic and Professional Details:

    • Name: First and Last Name.

    • Title: Your role at your organization.

    • Pronouns: How you prefer to be addressed.

    • Current Location: Where you are based.

    • Mobile Number: (Kept private)

    • Race & Gender: (Kept private)

    • Education: List schools you've attended.

  2. Expand Your Profile with Personal Touches:

    • Skills: Click the "+" icon, select from the skills dropdown. 🌱

    • Interests: Click the "+" icon, choose your interests from the dropdown. 🎨

    • Social Media Links: Add up to 3 links by selecting the platform from a dropdown and inputting the link. Make sure to hit "Add" to save each. 🔗

  3. Answer 'Get to Know Me' Questions:

    • Find the section with admin-predetermined questions.

    • Click the down arrow on a question to expand the text box and type your answer. 🗣️

Saving Your Changes

  1. Save Your Edits:

    • Don’t forget to click "Save Changes" at the bottom or top of your profile page to ensure all your updates are kept. ✅
