Build Beautiful Emails within Journeys ✨
Our email builder gives you full control over the email design. It lets you customize every aspect of the email, from the layout to the content and images. You can drag and drop to use images, merge tags, and other elements to customize the email. You can also preview the email before sending, and export the HTML code for further editing. Explore specific features of the email builder here.
Built in Tools:
Column
Format the body of your text into multiple columns throughout the page. To utilize a column feature within an email, drag the column icon into the email body. Customize the column properties, and row properties.
Heading
To utilize a header within an email, drag the heading icon into the email body. Scroll down to edit the heading type, font family, font weight, font size, color, alignment, and other formatting options.
Text
To add a new text block, drag and drop the text icon into the email body.Scroll down to edit the font family, weight, size, color, alignment, and other formatting options.
Image
To utilize an image within an email, drag the image icon into the email body.
Use Magic Image to allow AI to generate an image based on a description of what you want to see.
Upload your own image by dragging and dropping the image into the email builder, or paste a URL to the image you want to display.
Adjust other details such as width, alignment etc.
You can also hyperlink an image so that when clicked, the user is directed to a link.
Button
To utilize a button within an email, drag the button icon into the email body.
The button tool can accomplish the following actions:
Open Website
Send Email
Call Phone Number
When editing a button, you can use "Smart Buttons" which allows AI to assist you with wording suggestions. The next section allows you to select what action you want the button to take. Select to add a URL, send an email, or call phone number and enter the relevant information.
You can also customize the button by selecting options such as color, width, font, alignment, borders etc.
Changes made to formatting are automatically saved, so when you're done editing the button, just click the X button within the email builder and navigate back to "Content" to continue building your email.
Divider
Adds in a subtle line to define sections of the email.
HTML
HTML is for users to add custom HTML to their designs.

Video
Video is a built-in tool that lets users add YouTube or Vimeo videos to their emails. This tool automatically generates thumbnails of videos for emails and ensures that it renders correctly on all platforms.
Email Preview:
Draft Your Email: Compose your email using the email builder within the Journeys section. Add your content, formatting, and personalization tokens as needed.
Send Test Email: Once you are satisfied with your draft, click on the ‘Send Test Email’ button located at the top or bottom of the email builder interface.
Check Your Inbox: Open your email client and check your inbox. You should receive the test email momentarily. Review the email for layout, content, and overall presentation.
Make Adjustments: If any adjustments are needed, return to the email builder, make your changes, and send another test email if necessary to ensure everything looks perfect.
Pro Tips💡
Emails can appear differently on mobile, tablets and desktops. Consider viewing your test email on multiple devices to check compatibility.
Look for consistency: Ensure that fonts, colors, and alignments are consistent with your brand's standards and appear as expected.
Validate Links: Make sure all hyperlinks in the email are functioning correctly and leading to the intended pages.
Using the test email feature can significantly enhance the effectiveness of your communications by allowing you to spot and correct issues before they reach your audience.
Personalized Tokens
Insert a Text Box: In the email builder within Journeys, drag and drop a text box into your email layout where you would like to add personalized content.
Access Merge Tags: Click into the text box where you want to insert the personalization token. Then, click on “Merge Tags,” usually found in the toolbar above the text editor.
Select Personalization Token: From the drop-down menu of Merge Tags, select “First Name” to insert the token that will automatically pull in the recipient’s first name when the email is sent.
Compose Your Message: Continue composing your email. The token will appear as {First Name} in your draft. When the email is sent, {First Name} will be replaced with the actual name of each recipient, making each email uniquely personalized.

Preview and Test: Always send a test email to yourself to see how the personalization works in practice. Make sure that the personalization tokens are correctly replaced with the actual data.
Use Sparingly: While personalization can significantly enhance engagement, it’s important to use it judiciously to maintain the professional tone of your emails.
Ensure Data Accuracy: Personalization relies on the accuracy of the data you have. Ensure that your recipient list is up-to-date to avoid any discrepancies or errors in personalization.
